new job!

i took a gamble with a buddy of mine and held out on a job working for harley davidson, and took one that was to be slow to start. the arrangement was that i would work with him part time and spend the rest of my time doing my own work… and it payed off! I’m pretty pumped to be working with Jim Hutcheson of Ninety degree construction.

God has been faithful in providing work. This is a whole new arena in the construction industry for me, i’ve never been a project manager but i really enjoy seeing projects come together.

We do residential and commercial construction. I’ll post some photos soon of some of the stuff we are up to.

the bod.

i love being a part of a really big body of people. Yesterday, i had the great privelege of doing some redemption work to an old building that will be used for a church. I worked with Oakleaf Church to help prepare the house of Rock for construction. we tore out stage, dance floors, sound booth areas, walls, and all kinds of kitchen stuff that was unusable. here is a video.

It was a great day! I dont go to oakleaf, but i love those guys and what they are doing in cartersville and ill support them any day.

Tozer- The knowledge of the holy.

this is an excerpt from a book called “the knowledge of the holy” by A. W. Tozer.
“among the sins to which the human heart is prone, hardly any other is more hateful to God than idolatry, for idolatry is at bottom a libel on His character. The idolatrous heart assumes that God is something other than He is and substitutes for the true God one made after his own likeness. Always this God will conform to the image of the one who created it and will be base or pure, cruel or kind, according to the moral state of the mind from which it emerges.”
